Horizons North sits next to two large natural lakes, Opee-Chee lake and Opee-Chee Bouys lake. With no public access and only two holiday homes on the lakes you can look forward to a quiet tranquil time while you fish the day away, and with such little competition you can all but guarantee a catch. Making Horizons North the place to fish in Marten River.

In the lake we have an abundance of fish such as:
- Walleye
- Northern pike
- Smallmouth bass
- Perch
- Sunfish
Boat & Motor Rentals
Our boats are $85/day (minimum 1 day) or $495/week, gas is included, and HST extra.
Life jackets, paddles, bailer, safety kit and anchor included.
A laminated map of the lake is provided and is marked with depths and shoals.
In order to rent our boats, we require all operators have a credit card on file for damages, be over 21 years of age, carry a Boaters Card (and be willing to sign the boat rental agreement) and have experience in operating a small fishing boat. PLEASE NOTE, all rental boats need to be back at the dock before dusk, NO EXCEPTIONS! To operate a boat during night time conditions without suitable lighting is breaking the law. Failure to comply will result in your rental agreement being terminated prematurely and no refund will be given.
There is also a rowboat for those who want to give it a try available for $45/day, plus HST.

All prices are per cottage, not per person.
Dockage
Dockage/parking for one boat is provided per cabin. Any additional dockage/parking required will have a nightly fee of $30.00 or $160 a week.
Our Rental Boats are all 14’ Aluminium with 9.9HP Yamaha, Mercury or Johnson Motors.
Also available are canoes and Kayaks, that are available to guests at no charge!

You can get your Pleasure Craft Operators Card online at boaterexam.com for a small fee.
Our requirements for boat/motor rentals: we require a Boaters Card, a signed liability form, Visa or Mastercard, experience and a minimum age of 21 years of age.
